Graduated from Higher Air Force School, from a civil school of test pilots and from Moscow Aviation Institute; civilian test pilot at Gromov Flight Research Institute LII; was selected as cosmonaut for Buran-flights on 02.09.1985 (LII-4); OKP (cosmonaut basic training): 9/85 - 1987; currently he workes again as test pilot for LII.
