Major, Russian Air Force Res.; graduated from Kachinsk Higher Air Force School, 1975 and from a civil test pilot school (Flight Research Center), 1986; Candidate of Technical Sciences degree, 1989; test pilot; was selected as cosmonaut for Buran-flights on 25.01.1989 (OKPKI-5); since 1998 later exchange-pilot in USA; later he was working for Graystone Technology; was waiting for a green card to reside for the rest of his life in the USA and perhaps to become a test-pilot or NASA-Astronaut; died of cancer.
